About the event
As part of Black History Month, Vizyon Munal – Educational Component is offering a series of four educational sessions dedicated to the study of Carter G. Woodson’s book, The Bad Education of Blacks.
This event aims to provide a space for learning, reflection and critical dialogue, enabling participants to better understand how certain educational systems have historically contributed to shaping mindsets, limiting aspirations and perpetuating forms of intellectual dependence within Afro-descendant communities.
Through guided reading, collective analyses and structured exchanges, participants will be invited to connect Woodson's teachings to contemporary realities, while exploring concrete avenues for educational, cultural and community emancipation.
The event is aimed at anyone wishing to develop critical awareness, strengthen their understanding of educational issues and actively participate in a process of knowledge transmission and intellectual autonomy, supported by Vizyon Munal / Akadémie X.
